Biography
I was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. I am bilingual fluent Spanish/English . My father is from Cuba and my mother is from Puerto Rico. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren, (one set of twins) and have been married to my husband for 32 years. I have been a nurse for 25 years, have been a nurse practitioner since 2017. I am board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I started my nursing career working in Cardiac care and emergency department, then quickly moved into leadership for many years before I decided to go back to the bedside as a provider. I am committed to providing the best care for patients of all walks of life, but particularly enjoy helping those who are underserved and cannot afford basic healthcare. I believe having access to timely and efficient primary care and reinforcing health education and preventative care plays a big role in decreasing emergency department visits, hospital stays and reducing health disparities. My free time is usually spent working out at the gym or outside biking when weather allows it and spending time with family, making memories.
