Personal Interests

I have a 12-acre “back yard’ and spend a lot of spare time enjoying maintaining the property. We enjoy traveling the East Coast including trips to visit in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida. Several weekends a year are spent relaxing in Philadelphia.

I am very interested in D-III football and basketball and enjoy games throughout both of those sports seasons. My wife, youngest daughter, and I share an interest in professional baseball.

I have an extensive library and attend musical theater performances. Another “enjoy-the-moment” experience is attending live jazz performances whenever the opportunity arises.

Dr. Rodney Wenrich is a Muhlenberg College graduate and entered Hahnemann Medical College in the fall of 1965. He was awarded the MD degree in 1969 and started a rotating internship at Abington Memorial Hospital June of that year. Although Dr. Wenrich had planned to pursue a Family Medicine residency, he entered the Internal Medicine program at Abington because of friendships and priorities developed during the internship year. The residency was a three-year program. During that time it was learned that opportunities were available in Salisbury, and in July 1973 Dr. Wenrich joined – as the fourth member – a group practice.

At that time Peninsula General hospital had physician staff of about 130. Most of the practice was hospital based as admitting and consultation duties. The practice was very busy. The staff at the hospital, now Peninsula Regional Medical Center, grew in number and expertise. Dr. Wenrich believes that it was a good time to be part of a growing medical center.

A few years ago, Dr. Wenrich’s physician group transitioned to an office based practice. His practice maintains close ties to the hospital and the staff and feels that his practice provides a good contact point for medical care with excellent hospital care available for their patients through their referral system.  Dr. Wenrich joined Menocal Family Practice on July 11, 2022, when his previous office closed.  He is still able to practice from his Salisbury office & provide excellent care to his patients.
